Alaska

Note: Unless noted, all ferries are part of the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS).

Most prices and schedules are for summer 2003. All prices are one-way unless otherwise noted. Reduced rates for children; higher prices on AMHS for vehicles over 10 feet long.

Most Alaska Marine Highway ferries average about 15 mph. Costs per mile are computed based on minimum auto + one passenger price. Price per mile varies from $0.34/mile to $2.47/mile, with longer segments generally being cheaper per mile. Combinations of segments ticketed together result in discounts up to 22 per cent.
