Davis Ferry: Crosses Alabama River, on CR 40 between Franklin and Packards Bend; weekdays only, 7am-4pm; free; no trailers or RVs; 0.1 mile; To reach from SR 5: At Sunny South, go south on CR 1, turn southeast on CR 40 after Lower Peach Tree, continue beyond Packards Bend; To reach from SR 41: Turn west on CR 27 north of Franklin, then turn northwest to Haines Island Park; county operated. Hokes Bluff Ferry: Across Coosa River (H. Neely Henry Lake), just west of Hokes Bluff; not operating when visited in June 2001. Apparently ferry shut down between 1992 and 1999.
